The Sun Java System Directory Server Enterprise Edition: LDAP Concepts course introduces students to the fundamental concepts of Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) directory services. The course begins with a description of directory services and the components of the LDAP protocol. This course includes examples of LDAP operations. The key features of Sun Java System Directory Server 5.2 (Directory Server) and Sun Java System Proxy Server 5.2 (Proxy Server) are introduced. The course provides an overview of the Directory Software Developers Kit (SDK) and concludes with tips for developing LDAP applications.
