R12.1 Oracle Product Information Management Fundamentals

Many companies today store product information in numerous fragmented applications scattered across the enterprise, resulting in data duplication, version inaccuracy, and difficulty in locating information. This course teaches students how to consolidate and manage all structured and unstructured product information in a central repository. Structured information includes attributes, policies, catalogs, and configurations. Unstructured information includes attachments such as Word documents, spreadsheets, PDF documents, and images.

Once you create a single, blended record from multiple sources, you can maintain control over how to update product data and who can update and approve data changes. Use the new item request process to prevent item duplication and to control the process. Share product data between data registries such as 1SYNC, third party applications, legacy applications, and customers/suppliers.
