In this course students learn about monitoring Exadata Database Machine with a focus on best practices for what and how to monitor. Students learn about the monitoring infrastructure inherently within Exadata Database Machine, along with the monitoring capabilities exposed through Enterprise Manager Grid Control and associated plugins. Lecture-based lessons are supported by practical examples which are presented using recorded demonstrations.

Learn To:
  • Learn how to configure Enterprise Manager and associated plugins in conjunction with Exadata Database Machine.
  • Learn how to monitor Exadata Database Machine with and without Enterprise Manager.
  • Learn about other utilities for monitoring Exadata Database Machine which are supplied by Oracle.
  • Learn about the monitoring infrastructure components inside Exadata Database Machine and how they relate to each other and to Enterprise Manager.
  • Learn what to monitor in Exadata Database Machine.
