The student learns the foundation concepts, benefits, and essential features of Server Manager. An understanding is gained of the fundamental net change associated with the advent of Server Manager as it debuts in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Release 8.97. The basic architecture of Server Manager is presented. The student learns about the available documentation for Server Manager. The student watches a demonstration of the installation of the core element of Server Manager, the Management Console. Subsequent to the installation, the student is introduced to the user interface of the Management Console. A step-by-step process for a typical use case is presented for upgrading an existing Tools Release 8.96 Enterprise Server to Tools Release 8.97 using Server Manager. The course describes the various web-based servers supported by Server Manager and presents a typical step-by-step use case for installing the HTML Web Server on an Oracle Application Server.
