OracleAS Portal is a complete, browser-based environment for the development, deployment, administration, and configuration of enterprise class portals. In this course, students learn about the new features to enhance and extend the utilization of their existing portal implementation. Students learn of new features that enhance portlet performance. In addition, students learn how to publish and search content using OracleAS Portal 10g (9.0.4).

Student also learn how to integrate and publish web application and disparate data on a portal page. In short, the students learn about the new features of OracleAS Portal 10g (9.0.4).

  • Add portlets and items to portal pages

  • Develop portlets in-place on portal pages

  • Describe the benefits of OmniPortlet

  • Publish content from external Web sites using Web Clipping

  • Cache page definition and content at system level

 

  • Identify the enhancements to the the List view

  • Remove customizations from a tabbed page

  • Create, edit, and delete a survey using the Survey Builder Wizard

  • Copy a file from the desktop using the WebDAV interface

  • Locate portlets by using the Search field in the ADD Portlet dialog box

  • Migrate content between Portal repositories by suing the export/import feature in OracleAS Portal 10g (9.0.4)
