This course teaches you how to set up an employee benefits program using Oracle Standard Benefits (OSB). Taking advantage of the full suite of OSB features, students learn to define enrollment requirements and dependent designations that control the electability of benefits. You’ll learn how to manage coverage calculations—for life insurance type offerings—and actual premiums that you pay to third party providers. For U.S. students, the course offers an introduction to COBRA and HIPAA implementation. Lastly, you’ll learn how to enroll a participant into a benefits offering.

The practice instructions supplied in the course are written for Oracle Applications Release 11i using the Vision demonstration environment. You must have access to an Oracle Application Vision database or comparable training or test instance at your site on which to complete these practices.
