Oracle Acquisition of Sun Microsystems - Spotlight

Delivering Premium Education to Support Your Organization.
Message from ExitCertified's Co-CEOs
These past two years have certainly been an interesting time to be in the IT education business, and for us at ExitCertified, the recent Sun acquisition by Oracle was near the top of the list of interesting things. What is of more importance is what it means to you, our customers.

ExitCertified is in the rare and fortunate position of being both a Sun Education and Oracle University sales and delivery partner for the past several years, and in fact, we are the only organization in North America to carry both relationships prior to the acquisition. So what that means to you is absolutely no disruption in service or quality of delivery as the procedural changes take place within the two organizations. We will continue to leave the Sun Microsystems logo on our site so legacy Sun customers can continue to identify and register for the courses that you are familiar with, and we will continue to deliver the Sun Microsystems courses in our existing centres.

We are very pleased to see this transition go through as the combination of the two previously separate lines of business puts us in the position of being Oracle University's largest Education Partner in North America, which gives us more flexibility to offer you the premium levels of services that both ExitCertified and Oracle University provide. We are extremely proud to be the latest recipient of the 2009 Oracle University Partner of the Year Award, as well as the recipient of the Outstanding Quality Instructor award for 2009 which nicely caps off our list of Top Instructor Quality awards for eight consecutive quarters.

We would like to thank you for your patronage over the years, and we look forward to expanding our relationship with you as we continue to expand our relationships with our vendor partners.

Thank you,

Tim Mabey and Hees Ham, co-Ceos of ExitCertified.

Tools to aid debugging on AIX
Customer-reported bugs are not always easily reproducible in a development environment. Application crashes, hangs, and slow performance are common examples. In such cases, we need tools that can be used in a customer environment. A guided approach to debugging and some common problem areas are discussed here, along with the available tools on AIX. Note that debugging slower performance is not discussed here.

We have found in our experience with IBM Software Services for Lotus that most forms projects involve migrating from PDF forms to Lotus Forms.
