This course provides you with extensive hands on practice using the IBM Lotus Forms Designer. The student guide can be used as a reference guide to the Designer for building standard Extensible Forms Description Language (XFDL) and XForms-enabled forms.

The Lotus Forms Designer is based on the Eclipse platform, an environment for developing and delivering software applications. This course includes instruction on how to use the Eclipse Interface in the context of the Lotus Forms Designer.

  • Describe the basic products within the IBM Lotus Forms toolset.
  • Understand the Eclipse development environment and be able to customize as appropriate.

  • Recognize and understand the syntactical fundamentals of the XFDL language
  • Build simple XFDL forms.
  • Apply advanced XFDL concepts.
  • Build simple XForms forms.
