This is an online course. Please do not make travel arrangements for this course. After you receive confirmation that you are enrolled, you will be sent further instructions to access audio, video and remote labs.

This course is a subset of the InfoSphere Warehouse 9 Components (DW352) course. It is designed to give the student in-depth knowledge of the SQL Warehouse Tool (SQW) and Administration Console components of InfoSphere Warehouse. The course focuses on creating data flows, used to move and transform data stored in DB2. It then moves to creating control flows which allow control logic to be placed around the defined data flows. Finally, control flows are combined and deployed as a warehouse application using the Administration Console. Once deployed, these processes can be scheduled to run in a production environment. This course is for both students that are using IBM InfoSphere Warehouse and IBM InfoSphere Warehouse on System z.

This course is appropriate for students who are using InfoSphere Warehouse within the IBM Smart Analytics system and for students that are using IBM InfoSphere Warehouse and IBM InfoSphere Warehouse on System z independently.

Five labs are included to address InfoSphere Warehouse 9.7.

Compétences acquises
 
  • Describe the components of InfoSphere Warehouse
  • Use the Design Studio to physically model tables that will be used as sources and targets for the SQL Warehousing Tool
  • Use the Design Studio to create data flows in order to move data within DB2
  • Combine data flows into control flows and deploy the control flows into the SQL Warehousing Tool runtime environment
  • Deploy control flows to the Administration Console
  • Use the Administration Console to schedule and run deployed processes

This advanced course is for those who will be administering or using the SQL Warehouse Tool and the Administration Console components of InfoSphere Warehouse.

This course is also appropriate for customers who have acquired the IBM Smart Analytics System.
