This is the classroom version of Instructor led online course 3T291. This course combines into one course both IBM Optim Data Growth (DT201) and IBM Optim Data Privacy (DT211), and hence also includes all the material in IBM Optim Test Data Management (DT221). The IBM Optim Data Growth for Open Systems component of the course is designed to provide technical end-users and DBAs with a foundation in the functionality basics of the Optim solution. This component provides both a conceptual understanding of data growth/data privacy as well as the Optim solution's capabilities for managing data growth, improving the performance of critical business applications, de-identifying data for privacy protection, and supporting compliance initiatives for critical business applications. This course serves as a foundation for the Optim solution's business value, features, and functionality. This component focuses on the technical aspects of the Optim solution and is again intended for technical audiences. It provides both a conceptual understanding of data privacy as well as the Optim Solution's capabilities for de-identifying data for privacy protection and supporting compliance initiatives for critical business applications. This course serves as a foundation for the Optim Solution's business value, features, and functionality. This component focuses on the technical aspects of the Optim Solution and is intended for technical audiences. The focus of the course is hands-on experience building relationally intact subsets of privatized data and creating Optim primary keys and Optim relationships which permit cross database extraction of data. you will learn the basics of how the technology works through hands-on practice and how to apply the technology to business scenarios, including installation and configuration. This second component is designed to teach you both the IBM Optim Test Data Management and IBM Optim Data Privacy Solution concepts, functionality, and uses these tools to implement a data privacy solution. Hands-on lab exercises and checkpoint questions will be used to check your progress. The final workshop is specific to data privacy whereas the earlier units and lab exercises in the component common to the IBM Optim Test Data Management. This course prepares technical users with the Optim knowledge and skills necessary to participate in an Optim implementation project and confidently perform Optim tasks ongoing across the full spectrum of Optim components for Distributed/Open Systems. |
