IBM Enterprise Architecture Boot Camp  (QBB01)

Catégorie: Formation  Rational
Format: Formation en classe avec formateur
Autres formats:

Part 1:

The Enterprise Architecture Basic Concepts section of this boot camp, provides an overview of the theory and practice of Enterprise Architecture (EA), its roots in business and technology analysis and planning, the value and risk of implementing EA in an organization, the scope of EA programs, EA documentation methods, and the six basic elements that comprise a complete approach to practicing EA. This training course is taught over four days, with each day primarily consisting of lectures and the introduction of a case study that runs throughout the curriculum. Examples of current EA practices and methods are also provided, including the foundational work of John Zachman and Steven Spewak, The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF), the EA3 "Cube" Framework, and the Federal EA Framework (FEA).

Part 2:

The Enterprise Architecture Applied Concepts section (Part 2), builds on the theory and practice that was presented in the Enterprise Architecture Basic Concepts basic section (Part 1) and extends your understanding of these concepts through hands-on exercises to develop Enterprise Architecture (EA) documentation (artifacts) at each level of the architecture framework. Nearly 50 artifact types are covered and you will practice the development of several key artifacts (for example, SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) table, workflow diagram, data model, use case, system diagram, network diagram).

Part 3:

The Enterprise Architecture Advanced Concepts section (Part 3), further extends your understanding of how to apply Enterprise Architecture (EA) theory and practice through the implementation of ongoing EA programs in public and private sector organizations. This training course is taught over four days, with each day primarily consisting of morning lectures and an afternoon workshop that covers the development of key EA program documents, including an EA statement of work, project plan, and training plan. The afternoon of the final day is reserved for a final Enterprise Architecture examination.

This boot camp is a combination of the following three courses:

  • Enterprise Architecture Basic Concepts. (QB151)
  • Enterprise Architecture Applied Concepts. (QB156)
  • Those who complete the IBM Enterprise Architecture Boot Camp course series will receive a completion certificate from IBM. Those who complete all three courses in the series (Enterprise Architecture Basic Concepts (QB151), Enterprise Architecture Applied Concepts (QB156) and Enterprise Architecture Advanced Concepts (QB161)), and who successfully pass the in-class exams, will also receive the Certified Enterprise Architect (CEA) designation and certificate from the International Enterprise Architecture Institute http://www.internationaleainstitute.org
