Format: Formation en classe avec formateur
Autres formats:

This 4.5-day hands-on course is designed to assist you in planning, setting up, and implementing a recovery procedure for both local and disaster recovery for DB2 for z/OS data sharing installation. Recovery processes for DB2 disaster recovery and Coupling Facility recovery processes are covered.

Note: DB2 Data Sharing Implementation is discussed briefly as on overview on the first day. The implementation procedures are discussed fully in detail in:

  • DB2 9 for z/OS Data Sharing Implementation (CV410), no labs OR
  • DB2 9 for z/OS Data Sharing Implementation Workshop (CV450), which includes lab exercises.

This Course is Certified By IBM   Flex Training Savings

Compétences acquises

  • Completing z/OS Sysplex component recovery for DB2 Structures:
  • Group Buffer Pools
  • SCA (Systems Communication Area)
  • Lock1 (Global Locking)
  • Describe Database recovery
  • Describe DB2 Subsystem recovery
  • Completing z/OS Coupling facility recovery for:
  • Cntral Processor Complex (CPC).
  • Sysplex Timer
  • Plan and Describe DB2 Disaster recovery

Qui peut en profiter

This advanced class is intended for DB2 professionals - system programmers, and DBAs, as well as other support personnel, as required.

Préalables

You must have a working knowledge of z/OS Sysplex and of DB2 data sharing. This working knowledge may be gained by attending:

  • DB2 9 for z/OS Data Sharing Implementation (CV410)
  • DB2 9 for z/OS Data Sharing Implementation Workshop (CV450)
  • or equivalent experience.

This course is an alternative to DB2 9 for z/OS Data Sharing Recovery/Restart (CV420), which does NOT include lab exercises.
