PLEASE NOTE: This course is also available as an Instructor Led Class, Accelerate, Secure and Integrate with WebSphere DataPower SOA Appliances V3.8 (WB560) and also as an Instructor Led Online Course, Accelerate, Secure and Integrate with WebSphere DataPower SOA Appliances V3.8 (VB560). Please note this option does not require any travel. NOTE: THIS IS A SELF-PACED COURSE WITH A FIXED START AND END DATE You will be given access to the course material and to a DataPower appliance, in order to perform the labs, for a period of 26 calendar days from the designated start date. At the end of the class period, your access to the course and lab environment will be removed. No extensions to the access period are possible. This self paced course does not involve a live instructor. Please note that your enrollment will be confirmed shortly after you enroll, but you will not be sent the details on how to access the course and the lab environment until approximately 3 days before the designated class start date. Self-paced virtual courses provide the same deep technical content as our classroom courses, but allow you to learn on your own schedule. There is no live instructor for this course, so it may not be appropriate for students who require the guidance of a live instructor. In such cases, you should consider the alternative versions of this course: - Classroom delivery: Accelerate, Secure and Integrate with WebSphere DataPower SOA Appliances V3.8.1 (WB560)
- Instructor-led online delivery: Accelerate, Secure and Integrate with WebSphere DataPower SOA Appliances V3.8.1 (VB560)
Course Overview: In this 5-day instructor-led course, you learn the fundamental skills required to implement IBM WebSphere DataPower SOA Appliances with firmware version 3.8. The IBM WebSphere DataPower SOA Appliances allow an enterprise to simplify, accelerate, and enhance the security capabilities of its Extensible Markup Language (XML) and Web services deployments, and extend the capabilities of its service-oriented architecture (SOA) infrastructure. Through a combination of instructor-led lectures and hands-on lab exercises, you learn how to implement the key use cases for the DataPower appliances, including XML acceleration and threat protection, Web service virtualization, Web services security, integrating with IBM WebSphere MQ and Java Message Service (JMS), and authentication, authorization, and auditing (AAA). You also learn how to use various problem determination tools such as logs, monitors, and probes, as well as techniques for testing DataPower services and handling errors. The hands-on exercises give students experience working directly with an IBM WebSphere DataPower SOA Appliance, focusing on skills such as creating XML firewalls, working with encryption and cryptographic objects, configuring service level monitoring, troubleshooting services, and handling errors. |
