This three-day instructor-led course provides the fundamentals of Hitachi Device Manager software v7.x and discusses its ease of use in managing Hitachi storage systems. The course presents standard workflow techniques for successfully managing storage using Device Manager software.

In addition to addressing configuration, administration, operation, and storage management, a special focus is directed at Device Manager best practices. Pair volume operations, command line interface, external storage, VMware management, and maintenance and troubleshooting are discussed.

Extensive hands-on lab exercises using both Hitachi enterprise and modular storage systems are included.
