Hitachi Content Platform (HCP) is a virtualized distributed object store with advanced storage and data management capabilities that help IT organizations address a number of challenges posed by the ever-growing volume of unstructured data. Join us to:

	Learn about the new multi-tenancy and name space features that cover a wide range of use cases such as archiving, cloud deployment, and back-up reduction
	Explore the use of each type of UI Management Console, including the programmable API interfaces
	Practice installing and uniquely configuring virtual content platforms based on particular workloads
	Gain experience building, configuring, ingesting, upgrading and replicating files to the HCP 300 and HCP 500 systems in multiple hands-on labs

This five day instructor-led course provides a detailed description of the Hitachi Content Platform along with step-by-step procedures to install and configure it in a typical customer environment. It explains object replication, and introduces many functions of the product, including tenants and namespaces.

Hands-on lab activities provide the opportunity to install the Hitachi Content Platform solutions on both the HCP 300 and HCP 500 systems.

Upon completion of the course, the learner should be able to:

ï‚§ Describe Hitachi Content Platform functionality and concepts
ï‚§ Identify hardware components and field replaceable units and their locations in both HCP 300 and HCP 500 systems
ï‚§ Verify correct installation for HCP hardware
Build and configure the HCP system to run as a five-node cluster (four storage nodes, one search node)
Identify and explain the use of each type of UI Management Console, including the programmable API interfaces

Perform a hardware upgrade by adding an HCP 500 search node
Use various tools to ingest files into the HCP system
Explain replication and replicate data to a second HCP
Explain the Data Migrator tool and ingest data into the default tenant from an external server and then migrate data from the default tenant to an authenticated HCP tenant
Perform hardware and software upgrades
