This two day instructor-led course provides a differential on procedures, processes, capabilities and additional features of the Hitachi Adaptable Modular Storage 2000 family of modular storage solutions in comparison with the previous Hitachi Workgroup Modular Storage 100, and Adaptable Modular Storage 200, 500 and 1000. The course also addresses the technical differences regarding the hardware and software program products.

  • List the Adaptable Modular Storage 2000 family objectives and specification differences

  • Identify new components and locations

  • Describe hardware enhancements (for example, SAS back end, SAS drives)

  • Explain initial installation procedures

 

  • Identify Storage Navigator Modular 2 program differences

  • Install and run Storage Navigator Modular 2 and perform various management tasks

  • Identify the tools and tasks necessary to maintain and troubleshoot the Adaptable Modular Storage 2000 family

  • Describe the different support structures
